  • Background:
    Established in 1998 as a memorial to Charles Zoppa, a dedicated Kiwanian who joined in 1936, became a Club member in 1940, and served as long-time treasurer until his death in 1997 at age 90. His wife established an endowment with The Community Foundation serving Richmond and central Virginia. Since inception, more than $100,000 has been awarded to Zoppa scholars.
