Charles Crane Family Foundation — Violence Prevention Grants

October 15 is the Charles Crane Family Foundation's proposal deadline for violence prevention requests — one of the Foundation's two published program deadlines. 'We do not use a specific grant request form, but we suggest that you use the guidelines for proposal writing at the Maryland Philanthropy Network website,' plus a one-page summary form. 'If this is your first request, we encourage you to reach out and contact us to ensure that your organization and mission match our priorities.' The Foundation publishes two proposal submission deadlines — 'February 15 is the deadline for Jewish education requests' and 'October 15 is the deadline for violence prevention requests' — and 'If the deadline falls on a weekend, proposals may be submitted by the following Tuesday. Proposals will not be accepted after the deadline without prior consultation.' Ten stapled, double-sided, collated copies with a signed cover letter must be mailed or hand-delivered to 5750 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215, and a scanned PDF of the narrative and budget must be emailed to Larry Ziffer. Two separate copies of the most recent audit and IRS Form 990 or comparable financial statement are required, along with the IRS determination letter for a 501(c)(3) applicant or the sponsor's determination letter for a sponsored applicant.
