Overview: As part of the annual Founders Day of Giving campaign, one collegiate chapter is awarded a $5,000 grant to host an educational speaker or program of its choice on campus during the year.

Award Amount: $5,000 to the chapter that raises the most funds during Founders Day of Giving

Geographic Scope: All Alpha Sigma Tau collegiate chapters

Selection Criteria: The chapter that raises the most funds throughout Founders Day of Giving event receives the grant

How the Grant is Used: Recipients may use funds to host an educational speaker or program of their choice on campus

Example: In 2016, the Alpha Lambda Chapter (Radford University) won the first annual Chapter Challenge by raising the most funds throughout Founders Day of Giving.

Background: Founders Day of Giving is an annual fundraising event held on the anniversary of the Sorority's founding (November 4, 1899) to honor the eight founders and support the Foundation's initiatives.

    Application Process

    Participation is automatic for all collegiate chapters during Founders Day of Giving. Chapters compete by encouraging their members to make gifts to the Foundation during the designated fundraising day.
