Carol Hansen & Ethel Bauder Fund Grant

The Carol Hansen & Ethel Bauder Fund, established by Robert E. Hansen, supports scholarships for children of Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department members. Aimed at promoting education equity, it offers renewable scholarships for up to four years for eligible high school graduates who volunteer or have parents in the department. This initiative highlights the importance of community service and provides transformative educational opportunities for deserving students.

Scholarships are an essential part of the CNYCF’s commitment to advancing equity and shared prosperity throughout our region. Our scholarships help to make continuing education affordable for students, giving them access to new opportunities that can change their lives.
By naming the Community Foundation as the beneficiary designee of his IRA, Robert E. Hansen established this scholarship fund in memory of his wife and mother-in-law to benefit children of members of the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department.
Two scholarships can be awarded and are renewable up to four years, pending the recipients provide proof of enrollment.

Eligibility

Applicants must be graduating from high school and either volunteer for the Fayetteville Fire Department or have parents that are members of the Fayetteville Fire Department.
