Overview

Ashland County Community Foundation Ashland County Community Foundation didn’t begin, as many community foundations do, with a large gift from a single wealthy donor. Our foundation was started in 1995 by a group of charitably-minded community members who each gave what they could. Their goal was to encourage Ashland County residents to invest their charitable gifts in the future of Ashland County. Since then, ACCF has become a trusted philanthropic partner for thousands of families and individuals who want to invest in the future of Ashland County through endowment. ACCF now has over 700 endowment funds under administration. More than $35 million has been given back to the Ashland County community in the form of grants, scholarships and individual fund distributions. Scholarships Ashland County Community Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors, continuing college students and non-traditional students. Carl H. & Thelma L. Moherman Stitzlein Scholarship Carl H. and Thelma L. (nee: Moherman) Stitzlein spent a lifetime of dedication to the production and promotion of quality beef and their rural Loudonville farms. Both Carl and Thelma served on local, state and national committees; worked at beef promotion events; and hosted tours at their farm to further the cause of the beef industry. Education and the acquiring of knowledge was an important part of their life. It is an honor for the family to be associated with the Ashland Co. Cattlemen’s Scholarship. This scholarship is to assist graduating seniors of any Ashland County high school who plan to major in Agriculture or a related program with an emphasis on agricultural communications, have a 2.5 GPA or above and have been accepted to an accredited two or four-year college or university.
