Geographic Scope: International

Focus Areas: Rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumors:

ETMR (Embryonal Tumor with Multilayered Rosettes): Predominantly affects children under 4 years old; 5-year survival rate of only 10-30% despite intensive therapies; therapy-resistant and prone to rapid relapse

ATRT (Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor): Rare and aggressive brain tumor primarily affecting children under 3 years old; 5-year survival rate around 30% despite intensive treatment; defined by specific genetic alterations and prone to rapid recurrence

Award Details:

$200,000 per award

3 awards total ($600,000 collaborative funding)
