Purpose: To support student success through youth-serving organizations in central Ohio

Geographic Scope: Central Ohio

Award Amount: $150,000 total (distributed to 16 organizations in 2021 round)

Funding Commitment: Cardinal Health Foundation committed $500,000 over two years (2020-2022) to support youth-serving organizations funded by United Way of Central Ohio

Focus Areas:

Diversity Priority: In 2021 round, 63% of 16 selected organizations were led by people of color. Recipients included many new, smaller organizations and those providing culturally-specific opportunities.

Strategic Focus: Cardinal Health Foundation prioritizes improving health outcomes, with statistics showing students who attain a high school diploma have significantly better outcomes than those who don't.

Partnership Strategy: Combines Cardinal Health Foundation funds with United Way resources to make greater impact toward improving student success, particularly addressing long-term pandemic impacts on children and families.
