Overview

Capital Explorer Fund

Overview: Provides Rubenstein scholars with the opportunity to apply for additional funding to support high-impact experiences that enhance academic and professional development.

Eligible Uses: Funds may be used for:

  • Internships

  • Research projects

  • Study abroad programs

  • Volunteer initiatives

  • Winter, spring, or summer break experiences

    • Eligibility:

  • Must be a David M. Rubenstein Scholarship recipient

  • Must be an undergraduate

  • Must have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours or equivalent

    • Application Timeline: Applications accepted year-round on a rolling basis

    Review Timeline: Applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and allow up to two months for application review and approval process

    Sample Projects: Past recipients have:

  • Studied intersection of public health, community infrastructure, and food systems in Ghana

  • Participated in internships (e.g., Accenture in Texas)

  • Traveled for business and cultural learning experiences (e.g., Dubai, Florence)

  • Attended professional conferences (e.g., National Society for Black Engineers)
