Program Overview

Capacity building grants designed to expand access to high-quality early care and education programs throughout Indiana. Grants support the creation of new permanent early learning seats and improvements to early education facilities and programs.

• Early learning and child care programs in Indiana

• Both secular and faith-based programs eligible

Award Examples

• Community Preschool and Childcare (Hammond): $46,750 for 28 new preschool seats
• Kokomo School Corporation: $100,000 for 86 new preschool seats
• Little Saints Preschool and Childcare Ministry (Middlebury): $61,500 for 24 infant/toddler seats
• Walnut Hill Early Childhood Center (Goshen): $13,600 for 20 new seats

Program History

Since 2015, Early Learning Indiana has awarded more than $2 million in grants creating 1,500+ new high-quality seats throughout the state.
