Geographic Scope: Michigan, United States only
Mission: The U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation provides vital funding for cancer research to detect, treat, prevent and destroy cancer.

Eligibility Requirements

• Michigan Based: 100% of grant funding must be applied directly to cancer research performed in the state of Michigan
• Research must align with the foundation's mission to find a cure for cancer and create a cancer-free world
• Applicant must be affiliated with a hospital, research institution, or medical center in Michigan

Focus Areas

The foundation supports research across multiple cancer types, including but not limited to:

• Pancreatic cancer
• Pediatric cancers (leukemia, brain tumors)
• Prostate, cervical, colorectal, and ovarian cancer
• Liver cancer
• Breast, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers
• Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (diffuse large B cell lymphoma)
• Radiation-related complications from cancer treatment
• Novel treatment approaches and biomarker development

Timeline & Decision Process

• Grant submissions are reviewed within the year of application
• Funding decisions occur in the fourth quarter when the U CAN-CER VIVE Board and Committee Members meet
• Selected grants receive payment in the following calendar year

Partnership Requirements

The foundation seeks partnerships with:

• Research labs and institutions
• Doctors and researchers
• Patient advocates
• Medical centers and hospitals

Partners are expected to:

• Provide updates on research development and treatment improvements
• Communicate possible revisions in grant plans
• Share results through blog posts, press releases, and photos to keep supporters informed
