NOTE: This opportunity has two full-proposal deadlines. The first reflects the application due date. The second is the date that Required Authorization documents and Environmentally Preferable Purchasing and Practices (EPPP) Policy documents must be uploaded (if these are not submitted with the application). If the applicant does not have an EPPP Policy at the time of application, an EPPP Policy must be adopted by the secondary full-proposal due date. California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery California’s Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) brings together the state’s recycling and waste management programs to move the state towards a circular economy that reduces waste and reuses all materials. Through landmark initiatives like the Integrated Waste Management Act and Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act, California works toward a society that uses less, recycles more, and takes resource conservation to higher and higher levels. CalRecycle’s Mission: Protecting California’s environment and climate for the health and prosperity of future generations through the reduction, reuse and recycling of California resources, environmental education, disaster recovery and the transition from a disposable to a fully circular economy. Beverage Container Redemption Innovation Grant Program Purpose The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) offers the Beverage Container Redemption Innovation Grant Program pursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 101 (Chapter 12, Skinner, Budget Act of 2023). The purpose of the grant is to provide funding for reverse vending machines for Dealers to meet requirements of Public Resources Code 14578 (a)(1), commonly referred to as Option 1. All projects must be located within an unserved zone or no zone, at time of award.Eligibility
