CaGIS Scholarship Awards Grant

The CaGIS Scholarship Awards, offered by the Cartography and Geographic Information Society, recognize outstanding students in cartography and geographic information science. Two Master's Awards of $1,000 and two Doctoral Awards of $1,500 are available. Eligible candidates include students enrolled in relevant degree programs and those accepted into Master's or PhD programs. Awardees may gain visibility through interviews on the CaGIS website and social media, highlighting their achievements and potential in the field.

The Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Society’s annual scholarship awards. These scholarships recognize academic achievement and support the continued success of outstanding students in cartography and geographic information science. They also recognize achievement—or strong potential for achievement—in original research that advances the disciplines of cartography and/or geographic information science.
CaGIS will award up to three Master’s Scholarships ($400 each) and up to five Doctoral Scholarships ($1,000 each) to outstanding applicants.
