Overview

Our Vision Across Colorado each of us can say: “We have all we need to live healthy lives.” Our Mission Improve the health of Coloradans. Our Cornerstones It is essential that every step we take creates fair opportunities for people who health is furthest from reach. This is why our work, and that which we expect in the work of our partners, is rooted in three cornerstones: With the ultimate goal of improving the health of Coloradans, we do everything with the intent of creating health equity. We focus on those across the state who have less power, privilege, and income, and as a result, are less likely to be healthy. We prioritize people of color, who are disproportionately impacted by systemic and historic barriers that stand in the way of health and well-being.In partnership with the communities we serve, we support and fund community-informed solutions that drive health equity and racial justice. Building and Bridging Connections Funding Relationships and connections are critical components to an organization and/or community’s ability to work together in service of addressing shared goals. Our Building and Bridging Connections funding aims to strengthen social capital and community-building efforts aimed at addressing health challenges and advancing health equity. This funding will support: Building community between people of color and/or groups working together within a community (e.g. connecting Indigenous women, Black people living with disabilities, Asian American and Pacific Islanders who identify as LGBTQ, etc.) who may not have historically worked togetherAmplifying narratives and individual voices from those who have historically had less power and/or privilege who are deeply rooted within communityPrioritization and inclusion of cultural practices that honor cultural heritage, arts, stories and traditions that are at risk of being lost or forgottenCreating connections, building trust and reciprocity, and expanding dialogue on a community’s view of itself that positions them for future collective action There is no application deadline for our Building and Bridging Connections funding. Interested applicants must speak with a Program Officer and be invited to the solicited process. Solicited applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Funding decisions will generally be made within 45 days of a proposal being submitted. Grants typically range from $20,000 to $45,000 and will support community building work ranging from 12 to 24 months in length.
