NOTE: Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis and applicants will be notified of the outcome within 28 days of the review. As there are limited funds available, applicants are encouraged to apply earlier in the year to ensure funds remain available.The Grant and Awards Committee meets quarterly to review all grant applications. To ensure your application is considered, please submit it at least one week before the relevant meeting date to allow sufficient time for review. Teaching Soil Science Grant The Innovation and Field Equipment grants have been merged to form the Teaching Soil Science Grant. This change reflects the evolving scope and outreach of soil science education, aiming to promote best practices in teaching soil science without limiting funding solely to educational institutions. Description This grant is designed to enable an individual, institution or relevant organisation to: develop innovative ways of incorporating soil science into their lessonsbuy field equipment to aid in the instruction and understanding of soil science not previously offereddevelop and resource innovative teaching and learning activitiesproduce new and innovative teaching resources for free dissemination via the BSSS website. The aim of the grant is to promote good practice in teaching soil science and to support teaching that is innovative, inspiring and intellectually stimulating. This can be achieved in many different ways and can include projects based in or outside the classroom. The grant will also support collaborative projects between tertiary and educational institutions.

Ineligibility

Applications for school grounds development will not be considered under this grant.
