Program Description:
Since 2018, The Westminster Kennel Club has annually awarded three $5,000 donations to randomly selected AKC-recognized National Breed Clubs in support of breed rescue efforts.
Focus Areas:
Awards help offset rescue-related expenses including:
- Transportation
- Veterinary care
- Grooming and boarding
- Feeding
- Training
- Breed education
Eligibility:
- Applicant Type: AKC-recognized National Breed Clubs
- Open to: Both new applicants and previously winning clubs
- Restriction: Clubs that have won in the past may reapply, but not within the past 5 years (i.e., clubs that won before 2020 are now eligible)
Selection Process:
- Three awards are randomly selected from applicants
