Funding Priorities
Our funding is concentrated in three strategic areas and will have preference for underserved populations:

Workforce Development

Focus: Programs offered by technical schools, community colleges, universities, or accredited institutions.Goal: Provide advanced training, certifications and vocational skills for high-demand careers.
Financial Literacy
We support organizations that enhance financial knowledge of individuals and families with a preference for underserved populations.
Focus: Education on budgeting, saving, debt management, and understanding risk management.Goal: Measurable improvements in financial stability for low-to-moderate-income households.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
We fund efforts centered on natural disaster preparedness and long-term recovery.
Focus: Building community capacity for mitigation, readiness, and sustained economic recovery from specific natural hazards (e.g., floods, wildfires).Exclusion: We do not fund general emergency response, food, or immediate shelter services.
Eligible nonprofits must operate in communities where IMA has a meaningful presence.
Average grant sizes are $5,000 to $20,000.
