Eligible applicants must demonstrate interest and achievement in the liberal arts within their school or community and maintain a minimum GPA equivalent to a B average. Selection also considers financial need, leadership initiative, extracurricular involvement, and community service. Preference is given to students with a specific interest in writing, journalism, or English.
