Blue Planet Alliance Global Youth Ambassador Program

Overview: The Blue Planet Global Youth Ambassador Program was launched during the 2022 Our Oceans Conference in Palau to honor and empower young people from ages 16 to 30 to help spread the mission of transitioning island nations and countries globally to 100% renewable energy by 2045.

  • Amplify youth voices in global climate conversations

  • Support local and regional climate initiatives

  • Ambassador Profiles: The program includes ambassadors from diverse backgrounds including:

  • Current Ambassador Locations Include: Palau, Barbados, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cook Islands, Kenya, U.S. Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Kitts and Nevis, Bahamas, Saint Helena, Sri Lanka, United States, and others

    Background: Launched in 2022 at the Our Oceans Conference in Palau, the program recognizes that young people are essential to achieving global climate goals and building a sustainable future.

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    To Apply to Become a Global Youth Ambassador:
    1. Complete the application form available on the Blue Planet Alliance website
    2. Click or tap the "Apply to Be a Global Youth Ambassador" link
    3. A member of the BPA team will be in touch following submission

    Requirements:

  • Age 16-30

  • Demonstrated commitment to climate action and/or environmental sustainability

  • Willingness to engage in global activism and advocacy
  • Next Steps: After applying, the BPA team will contact applicants to discuss their background, interests, and role in the Ambassador network.
