Geographic Scope: New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church

Overview: Each year since 1995, the Preachers' Aid Society of New England has granted the prestigious Blaine and Lois Taylor Fellowship Award to honor retired clergy and surviving spouses having significant years of distinguished pastoral service within and among local churches of the New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church or one of its predecessors.

Award Criteria

Awards are made on the basis of:

Tenure in ministry

Effective service in ministry

Relative need

Eligibility

• Retired clergy of the New England Annual Conference
• Surviving spouses of clergy
• Must have significant years of distinguished pastoral service
• Service within local churches of the New England Annual Conference or one of its predecessors

Award Details

• Award Amount: $10,700 to use toward the purpose stated in the applicant's application
• Recognition: Fellows are awarded at the Clergy Luncheon each year during Annual Conference
• Selection: Recipients are chosen by an independently appointed committee which reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Society
