Biotechnology Investment Incentive Tax Credit (BIITC)
Provides tax credits to investors who invest in qualified Maryland biotechnology companies, helping biotech startups attract private capital. BIITC provides refundable income tax credits to eligible investors in Qualified Maryland Biotechnology Companies (QMBC) equal to 33% or 50% of an eligible investment in a QMBC, up to $250,000 or $500,000 in tax credits.
