Biofabrication Apprenticeship Program

Organization: ARMI | BioFabUSA

Geographic Scope: United States (locations with local colleges for in-person classes)

Focus Areas: Biofabrication technician training, regenerative manufacturing, healthcare innovation

Program Description: A comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to provide skills and knowledge essential to excel in the biofabrication industry. The program combines classroom instruction with paid on-the-job training.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Age: Must be 18 years or older
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Program Structure

Track I: Registered Apprenticeship Program

  • Pre-Apprenticeship (2 months): Classroom and hands-on instruction in biology, chemistry, soft skills, and industry-specific business knowledge at local colleges. Monthly stipend provided.

  • - Earn Biofabrication Certificate
    - Opportunity to earn microcredentials from Bioscience Core Skills Institute
    - Opportunity to earn Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam
  • On-the-Job Training (12 months): Paid mentorship and training with potential for permanent employment upon completion

  • - Full-time compensation with health insurance and vacation benefits
    - Potential wage increases based on skill demonstration

    Track II: Embedded Certificate Program

  • Free attendance of classroom and hands-on instruction

  • Earn Biofabrication Certificate

  • Same credentialing opportunities as Track I
