- BHCGA operates as a Qualified Sponsored Organization (QSO) under rules and regulations set forth by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC)
- May request additional documentation or information as required by state regulations

Application Process
The grant cycle lasts four months and consists of the following phases:
1. Letter of Intent (LOI) - Submit through online portal
2. Application - By invitation only (for LOIs meeting eligibility criteria)
3. 1st Round Board Review
4. 2nd Round Board Review and Award Decisions

- All applications must be submitted through the online grant portal (Foundant)
- Do not mail or email physical letters to the office
- All applications are due by 4:00 PM on the deadline listed in each grant cycle
- Letters of Intent and applications must be submitted throughout the online grant portal
