Through partnerships with donors, grantmaking to nonprofit organizations, and the administration of academic scholarships, the Foundation serves 10 Central Texas counties—Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Mason, Real, and Uvalde—working to ensure a high quality of life and a prosperous future for the Hill Country region. Bettie Sue Dunn Cummings Scholarship Fund The Bettie Sue Dunn Cummings Scholarship Fund’s mission is to provide scholarships for young women from rural areas in Texas who are pursuing a career path that will lead to their financial security. Preference is given to applicants who express a desire to ‘pay it forward’ and improve the communities in which they live, and who exemplify good character, integrity, responsibility, and leadership.
