Berry Family Foundation Grants

The Berry Family Foundation Grants aim to support entrepreneurial initiatives and strengthen the Dayton community. Emphasizing core beliefs such as the importance of free enterprise and the encouragement of youth education, the foundation seeks to partner with organizations that align with these values. Funding requests are evaluated based on their potential to improve community quality of life and enhance organizational sustainability. Please note that requests from ineligible organizations will not be considered.

NOTE: We will review your inquiry upon receipt and invite you to complete the full grant application if your project meets our criteria.
Our Core Beliefs
We believe in our country’s core principles.We believe free enterprise will always be the keystone of who America was, is and will be.We believe entrepreneurialism should be encouraged and supported.We believe in the encouragement of personal goals, growth and responsibility.We believe in supporting the Dayton community, which provided a wonderful foundation for the many opportunities provided to the Berry family.We believe in supporting youth programs and education that encourage responsibility, honesty, self-confidence, teamwork and achievement.We believe in supporting a strong healthcare system.

We expect organizations we partner with to have a positive impact and support our core beliefs.
Keeping in mind our focus areas of free enterprise, education & youth, community and healthcare, requests for funding will be reviewed using the following criteria:
Improving the quality of life for our communityThe Berry Family Foundation was formed to benefit our core beliefs and carry on the vision of our founders. Therefore, you must describe how your organization supports those goals.Enhancing the sustainability of the organizationEach time The Berry Family Foundation supports an organization or event, our goal is for it to be more sustainable—regardless of any ongoing financial commitment. Applicants must address this issue.

Ineligibility

Requests are not considered for:Organizations without 501(c)3 public charity status from the IRS or classified as private foundationsOrganizations that discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, age, veteran status, or any federal, state or local lawsOrganizations that only benefit a few peopleOrganizations raising money for second-party giving to a nonprofitChurches and individualsTravel funds for tours, expeditions or tripsSchool yearbook and/or calendar adsSchool or civic sports teams, events or supplies (T-shirts, etc.)Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
