Beaird Family Foundation Grant

The Beaird Family Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations primarily in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of North Louisiana. Established by Carolyn and Charles Beaird, the foundation prioritizes funding local, innovative programs that improve community well-being. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and adhere to the foundation's nondiscrimination policy. The foundation has awarded significant funding since its inception in 1960, focusing on diverse areas including education, healthcare, and community development.

The majority of our grants support qualified nonprofit organizations in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of North Louisiana.
The Foundation awards grants to qualified nonprofit organizations, mostly in the Shreveport and Bossier City region of Louisiana. Beaird Family Foundation has grown, enabling its Board to award over $1,400,000 to nonprofit organizations in 2020.
The Foundation leaves to others the funding of grants to individuals and the support of large national causes such as the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross.

Eligibility

In addition to other factors, eligible organizations:
Must be a 501c3 tax-exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service.Adhere to Beaird Family Foundation’s nondiscrimination policy.Have submitted a Follow-up Report for prior Foundation grant before LOI submission (if applicable)

Ineligibility

We leave to others the funding of grants to individuals and the support of large national causes such as the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross and the United Way.
