Mission Our mission is to expand access to health care for people in all stages of their lives. We recognize, respect and celebrate unique experiences and perspectives, enabling us to better serve our members and offer products and services that best meet their needs. We are intentional about supporting a welcoming environment where respect is embedded in how we treat our members, our employees and the communities we serve. Community Giving Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico recognizes the importance of strong community involvement, and we are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of all New Mexicans. We support New Mexico communities through volunteer initiatives and financial commitments, including grants, sponsorships and employee volunteerism. Our charitable giving strengthens connections with our members, community leaders and policymakers, who are dedicated to improving health in New Mexico. While we appreciate all community projects, our status as a customer-owned company imposes limits on sponsorships. Please review our funding priorities to determine if your project's goals align with our community-giving priorities. We invest in and collaborate with New Mexico nonprofits to foster healthier communities and support New Mexicans in these key areas: Economic Opportunity and Stability: Addressing issues such as poverty, removing barriers to employment, providing good jobs and upskilling. Nutrition: Supporting efforts to decrease hunger and increase access to nutritional food. Neighborhood and Built Environment: Focusing on affordable healthy housing and access to transportation and physical activity. Locally Defined Health Solutions: Addressing local health and human service needs. Optimal Health Outcomes: Helping close gaps in care, specifically around six priority areas: immunizations, diabetes care, cardiovascular care, behavioral health, early detection cancer screening and maternal and infant health.
