Barney Family Scholarship Grant

The Barney Family Scholarship, administered by the Crown Point Community Foundation, offers a $40,000 award ($5,000 per semester) to a graduating high school senior from Lake, Porter, Jasper, or Newton County. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and attend an Indiana State-sponsored college or technical school, with family income between $80,000 and $150,000. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters, encouraging academic success.

Note: Students will only need to submit one application that will be used to determine their eligibility for over 100 scholarships.

Scholarships
The Crown Point Community Foundation is the financial administrator of over 80 scholarship funds created by generous community donors. Scholarship criteria is chosen by the donor. The scholarship committee reviews all submitted applications and makes recommendations based on the criteria of each scholarship.

Eligibility

For Graduating High School SeniorsCriteria: Graduating High School senior from Lake, Porter, Jasper or Newton County; minimum 3.0 GPA; attending an Indiana State sponsored college, university or technical school; family income between $80,000 and $150,000. Must maintain a full time student status and earn a minimum 2.75 GPA each semester to continue receiving the scholarship
