Since 1981, Centre Foundation has brought together generous donors to drive transformation, showcasing the incredible legacy we can create together. Back to Better: Creative Resilience Grants Across Pennsylvania, artists and creative business owners are still feeling the ripple effects of the pandemic—though many people may not realize that, even four years after the pandemic began, the impact on artists and creative businesses is still significant. From music venues and galleries to designers, filmmakers, and independent publishers, creative professionals lost income streams, faced stalled projects, or had to take on second jobs just to make ends meet. To help our region’s creative community recover and move forward, Centre Foundation is launching Back to Better: Creative Resilience Grants. This one-time program, made possible through the ARPA Pennsylvania Arts and Culture Recovery initiative, offers $3,000 flat grants to independent artists and creative sole proprietors in Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, and Huntingdon Counties. It’s designed to provide practical support so artists can stabilize their practice, adapt to new realities, and bring their work, and their audiences, back to better. What This Supports Grants may be used for practical steps that help artists and creative entrepreneurs recover and move forward, including: Completing a body of work Upgrading tools or technology Re-engaging audiences or reopening a storefront Addressing supply chain challenges Restarting a revenue streamEligibility
