Autism Predoctoral Fellowship Grant

The Autism Predoctoral Fellowship, funded by the New Jersey Department of Health, supports early-career researchers in autism research. This two-year fellowship offers $100,000 to promote training and fund projects that enhance the understanding and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Applicants must attend a mandatory Technical Assistance meeting and submit a Letter of Intent to open their application.

All grant applicants (including repeat applicants) must register for and attend the Mandatory Technical Assistance (TA) virtual meeting. See First Letter of Inquiry Deadline above. A Letter of Intent (LOI) must be received for the applicant to open a grant application in SAGE. See Second Letter of Inquiry Deadline above.
Governor’s Council for Medical Research and Treatment of Autism
The Governor’s Council for Medical Research and Treatment of Autism (Council) was created by State appropriation in 1999 and has been issuing research, clinical and educational enhancement grants since 2000. The Council’s vision is to enhance the lives of individuals with ASD across their lifespans.
Purpose
The purpose of this research grant program is to promote and support research capable of advancing the mission of the Council by offering two Student Fellowship awards:

• Predoctoral Research FellowshipsPostdoctoral Research Fellowships
• Autism Predoctoral Fellowship

Predoctoral Fellowship awards are designed to enhance the research training of promising researchers early in their training period, who have the potential to become productive investigators in autism research, as well as to support research capable of advancing the mission of the Council and offer funding for research Projects.
The Predoctoral Fellowship is a two-year program award of $100,000.
