The ATS Foundation Unrestricted Grants support early-career investigators in advancing research in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. With a focus on enabling independent research careers, the program encourages applications in various health-related topics, particularly those that can influence health policy. The ATS Research Program offers up to five grants of $40,000 each for one year to cover salaries and supplies, fostering innovative research initiatives.
ATS Foundation Unrestricted Grants
Unrestricted grants support early-career investigators conducting research that advances the knowledge and understanding of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. A primary goal of the ATS Research Program is to enable early-career investigators to transition to independent research careers.
The Research Program encourages applications in basic, patient-oriented, and public health topics. In the area of public health, the Research Program is particularly interested in funding projects that will inform health policy decisions. These include projects that explore the quality and safety of a specific treatment and compare the effectiveness of different therapies.
The ATS Research Program will award up to five unrestricted research grants for $40,000 for one year for salaries, supplies, or a combination of these two.
