ATHENA Leadership Award
Overview: A prestigious recognition celebrating individuals who demonstrate excellence in their profession, contribute to their community and actively mentor and support the leadership development of women.
Status: Nominations are open for 2025
Geographic Scope: Greater Lafayette Region (nominees must live and have done the majority of their work in the Greater Lafayette area)
Focus Areas:
Award Recognition: Winners are recognized at the Greater Lafayette Commerce Annual Celebration at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds
- Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession
- Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community
- Actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential
- Demonstrate The Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership™: - Live Authentically - Learn Constantly - Build Relationships - Foster Collaboration - Act Courageously - Advocate Fiercely - Give Back - Celebrate
Criteria
Nominees will be rated on:- Must live and have done majority of work in Greater Lafayette Region
- May represent either profit or not-for-profit sector
- No minimum or maximum age qualification
- Previous ATHENA Leadership Award Recipients are not eligible; however, past nominees may be nominated again
