Overview

ASSISTments Certified Trainer Program

Status: Application period has ended for current cycle; future cycles expected annually

Overview: ASSISTments is recruiting and training experienced users to become ASSISTments Certified Trainers (ACTs) to deliver training and support to schools and districts nationwide.

Focus Areas:

  • Training schools and districts on ASSISTments platform

  • Professional development delivery

  • Supporting implementation of ASSISTments at scale

  • Developing teacher leadership
  • Compensation:

  • Formal Training: $250 per hour

  • Flexible Support: $50 per hour

  • Summer Institute Stipend: $500 (for attending two-day training institute)
  • What's Provided to ACTs:

  • Certified Trainer Summer Institute (two-day virtual institute)

  • Training on product updates and changes

  • Occasional required webinars for ACTs

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Strong, regular ASSISTments user with deep knowledge of platform

  • Expertise in:

  • - Finding and assigning content
    - Student experience features
    - Interpreting data reports (assignment, student details, skill builder)
    - Using data to plan next steps and engage students in discussion
    - Introducing platform to students and setting them up for success

    Preferred Expertise (beyond requirements):

  • Experience leveraging ASSISTments with core curricula (Illustrative Math, Eureka Math/EngageNY, Open Up Resources)

  • Maximizing ASSISTments with Canvas or Google Classroom

  • Best practices for specific grade bands (elementary, middle, high school)

  • Some experience leading training, professional development, coaching teachers, or other leadership roles
  • Required Certifications:

  • Must complete ASSISTments Certified Educator program by July 1 (if not already certified)
  • How Training Works:

  • All training and support delivered virtually

  • Flexible - ACTs choose which training opportunities to lead on first-come, first-serve basis

  • Based on availability and capacity

  • Opportunities shared when schools/districts request training

    Application Process

    Note: Current application period has ended. Check back for future cycles (typically annual).

    To Apply (when cycle opens):
    1. Complete the ASSISTments Certified Trainer application
    2. Application deadline provided at time of call for applications
    3. If selected, participate in 15-30 minute phone interview

    If Selected for Program:
    1. Required: Attend two-day virtual Certified Trainer Summer Institute
    - Dates: July 12 and 13
    - Format: Virtual
    - Receive $500 stipend for attendance
    - Preparation for delivering ASSISTments training

    2. Ongoing Requirements:
    - Attend occasional required one-hour webinars
    - Stay current on product updates
    - Learn updates to training decks

    3. Training Delivery:
    - Choose training opportunities from schools/districts (first-come, first-serve)
    - Deliver virtual training
    - Provide flexible support hours
    - Track hours for compensation
