The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 160,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest national civil engineering society.

The Society advances civil engineering technical specialties through nine dynamic institutes and leads with its many professional- and public-focused programs.
ASCE Houston Branch Student Chapter Scholarship
The American Society of Civil Engineers Houston Branch has funded the 2025 ASCE Student Chapter Scholarship Fund and will be awarding scholarships to outstanding students from the local ASCE Houston Branch university student chapters (Prairie View A&M University, Rice University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston-Main Campus, University of Houston-Downtown and University of Texas at Tyler-Houston Engineering Center).
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of overall merit, in recognition of personal student achievements, involvement and achievements with the ASCE Student Chapter, and with regard to financial responsibility. The number and value of each scholarship will be determined upon receipt of the scholarship applications. The total number and dollar amount of Scholarship awards is determined each year by the ASCE Houston Branch, however the minimum amount of any award this year will be $500.
