  • Background:
    The Arsht-Cannon Fund (ACF) has been supporting opportunities for Hispanic communities in Delaware for 20 years (since 2004). It has awarded over $12 million to 150 organizations. The fund was endowed by the Honorable Roxana Cannon Arsht (Delaware's first female judge) and her husband S. Samuel Arsht (prominent corporate attorney and founding partner of Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell). Their daughter Adrienne Arsht helped shape the ACF's early focus on serving Hispanic communities through educational opportunities.

    2025 Awards:
    The ACF awarded $570,000 to 25 nonprofits in 2025, divided into six impact areas:

  • Language Learning and Family Literacy

  • Developmental, Academic and Arts Programming

  • Advocacy and Leadership Development

  • Latino Small Business Development/Economic Development

  • Health-related Education, Coaching, and Support

  • Special Initiatives
  • Eligibility:

  • Must serve Delaware and its residents

  • Must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

  • Cannot discriminate based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, national origin, or sexual orientation
  • What DCF Does Not Fund:

  • Individuals

  • Non-501(c)(3) organizations

  • Purchase of office equipment, furniture, or standard office expenses

  • Sports clubs, leagues, or facilities

  • Public or tuition-based educational institutions

  • Fundraising entities for programs primarily supported by public funding

  • Purchase of vehicles

  • Endowments

  • Debt reduction

  • Religious organizations for sectarian purposes

  • Annual fundraising campaigns

  • Projects completed before June of the current year
