    Appointment Terms

    Eligibility

  • Current faculty of all ranks at Arc partner universities (Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UCSF)
  • Tenure status dependent on specific search
  • Individuals authorized to work in the US, as well as those requiring visa sponsorship, are eligible

    Lab Space & Infrastructure

  • Access to five Technology Centers: Multi-Omics, Genome Engineering, Cellular Models, Mammalian Models, and Computational
  • General operational and lab support with centralized stockroom
  • Shared equipment for major molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomics workflows
  • Access to core facilities at Arc and partner universities (e.g., in-house flow cytometry core, joint Cryo-EM knowledge center with Stanford)
  • Dedicated operational support team (50+ members) covering: recruiting, scientific publications, IP, people management, communications, academic affairs
  • Dedicated scientific publication support
  • Administrative support for university relations and academic affairs

    Teaching & Collaboration

  • Can maintain faculty appointments at partner universities with associated teaching responsibilities
  • May have graduate and postdoctoral students join lab
  • Can continue collaborations with faculty at other universities outside current partner institutions

    Intellectual Property

  • Arc manages intellectual property with defined policies for researchers

  • Timeline: New applications accepted and reviewed until position is filled
