AQHA PATH Intl. EAS Horse of The Year Award

Overview: This award honors exceptional American Quarter Horses serving in equine-assisted services (EAS) settings at PATH Intl. Member Centers.

Award Details:

  • First Place: $10,000

  • Second Place: $5,000

    • Eligibility:

  • Any current PATH Intl. Member Center may nominate their registered American Quarter Horse(s)

  • No limit to the number of registered American Quarter Horses a center may nominate

  • The nominating center must hold an AQHA General membership ($65)

  • If the center does not currently hold AQHA membership, one may be purchased for $65 (use promo code PATH to save $5)

  • The nominated horse must be registered with AQHA

    • Geographic Scope: United States (AQHA registration requirement)

    Focus Areas: Equine-Assisted Services; recognition of American Quarter Horses for their conformation, temperament, and ability to serve in therapeutic and adaptive equine programs

    Application Process

    1. Eligibility Requirements:
    - Verify your center is a current PATH Intl. Member Center
    - Ensure your center has an AQHA General membership ($65)
    - Confirm the horse is registered with AQHA

    2. Submission:
    - Complete the AQHA Nomination Form
    - Submit nomination to PATH Intl.

    3. Nomination Details:
    - Centers may nominate multiple registered American Quarter Horses
    - Each nomination should highlight the horse's conformation, temperament, and contributions to EAS programming

    Required Materials:

  • AQHA Nomination Form (completed)

  • Evidence of AQHA membership

  • AQHA registration documentation for nominated horse(s)
