Overview: Anchor Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to eligible family members (children and spouses) of active duty, retired, and honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel.

Background: Over 45 years, Anchor Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $1,600,000 in scholarships to over 1,300 recipients. In 2024 alone, ASF awarded 44 scholarships (5 of which were renewable) valued at over $153,000.

Eligibility

• Children and spouses of active duty Surface Navy personnel
• Children and spouses of retired Surface Navy personnel
• Children and spouses of honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel

Selection Criteria

Anchor scholarships are awarded based upon an equal weighting of:
• Academic performance
• Character
• Extracurricular activities
• Financial need

Note: Endowed and administered scholarships have additional criteria; not every applicant is eligible for every endowed or administered scholarship.
