Summary
The AmeriCorps Program Grant in Wyoming supports non-profits in hosting AmeriCorps members to serve communities in need. This grant facilitates the development of impactful programs across various sectors, including education and healthcare. Organizations must submit a concept paper to outline their proposed projects and member needs. By engaging volunteers, the grant aims to foster community resilience and create meaningful service opportunities for individuals, ultimately enhancing the quality of life in Wyoming.Overview
NOTE: New applicants, or current programs with new program designs, are required to submit a concept paper. Concept papers are accepted all times throughout the year, however, depending on the timeline in which they are received there is no guarantee that you will be funded for the current grant cycle in play. Applicants with a clear method for addressing a need and the potential to develop a strong AmeriCorps program will be formally invited to apply. Existing programs are invited to submit continuation applications by March 19 at 3PM. ServeWyoming ServeWyoming is our State’s center for volunteerism and AmeriCorps service. We exist to help implement and coordinate the AmeriCorps programs, as well as build, maintain and mobilize the volunteer infrastructure we believe necessary to address the critical needs in our State. Volunteering not only makes a positive difference in the places and lives you touch but also has the power to transform your own life in meaningful ways. How Your Organization Gets Involved Whether your organization focuses on education, healthcare, the environment, or social justice, we provide a platform for you to connect with individuals eager to make a difference. By submitting your volunteer opportunities, you expand your reach and engage passionate individuals who are ready to support your cause. Let’s work together to build a stronger, more vibrant community. Share your volunteer openings and help shape a brighter future together! The ServeWyoming AmeriCorps application process begins with the Concept Paper; to succinctly and precisely identify the proposed project, the needs it addresses, the activities members will be engaged in and the number of members requested. The Concept Paper process is designed as a “qualifying” round. AmeriCorps Program Grant The AmeriCorps Program Grant allows non-profits state-wide to host AmeriCorps members giving them an opportunity to directly serve communities in need, gain experience through meaningful projects and create career pathways through a 12-month service term.
