American Society of Biomechanics: Research Travel Grant

The American Society of Biomechanics offers a Research Travel Grant to promote collaboration among biomechanists across various disciplines. This grant assists in covering travel and lodging expenses, with budget requests up to $1500. Eligibility is open to all ASB regular members, who must have a recognized professional standing in biomechanics. The grant is not applicable for travel to the annual ASB meeting, and while matching funds from institutions are preferred, they are not mandatory.

To encourage and foster the exchange of information and ideas among biomechanists working in different disciplines and fields of application, biological sciences, exercise and sports science, health sciences, ergonomics and human factors, and engineering and applied science, and to facilitate the development of biomechanics as a basic and applied science.
A Research Travel Grant is offered to foster collaborative research and interaction among scientists by helping to offset the cost of travel to a host institution. Travel and lodging costs are covered. Budget requests may be up to $1500.

Eligibility

All ASB regular members are eligible to apply.Regular Members shall be individuals with an established professional reputation in biomechanics.ASB members come from academia, industry, clinical entities, and government agencies. At any time, there are approximately 950 active members from 45+ states in the U.S., several Canadian provinces, and at least a dozen foreign countries
