American Savings Foundation is a permanent charitable endowment which provides grants to local nonprofit organizations, in addition to college scholarships to area students. The Foundation is a broad-based funder dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of the communities we serve. This is our lasting commitment. American Savings Foundation Scholarship The American Savings Foundation Scholarship is the largest independent college scholarship program from a single source of funds in Connecticut. Each year nearly 400 ASF Scholars attend community colleges, 4-year institutions, and technical or vocational programs in Connecticut and beyond. New Applicants American Savings Foundation Scholarships are awarded primarily based on financial need and the potential impact of a scholarship award. Consideration is also given to academic record, community involvement, and other indications of a strong desire to achieve goals through education. Awards are renewable for up to 5 academic years.Eligibility

You should apply for an American Savings Foundation Scholarship if: You are a current high school senior, current college student, or a nontraditional adult student.Next year, you plan to attend a community college, 4-year college or university, or a technical/ vocational program in the U.S.You are a United States citizen or a non-U.S. citizen who is able to apply for federal student aid; or you have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, as evidenced by a valid Employment Authorization Card.You live in any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the American Savings Foundation.You have not already completed a Bachelor's degree.You have financial need.There is no minimum GPA required to apply.Ineligibility
