Alumni of the Year Award

Geographic Scope: Cape Cod Community College alumni (Massachusetts and beyond)

Since 1983, the College has recognized outstanding alumni with the annual Alumni of the Year award. Two awards are presented at the College's commencement ceremony each year.

Award Categories

• One award: Given to an alumnus/alumna who attended/graduated more than 10 years ago
• One award: Given to an individual who attended/graduated within the past 10 years

Selection Process

• The Alumni Network invites the community to make nominations
• All nominations are reviewed by a committee of alumni, faculty/staff, and community members
• The committee selects the two individuals to be honored

Recognition

• Awards are presented at the College's commencement ceremony
• Recognizes exceptional leadership and career accomplishments
• Honors contributions to communities

How to Nominate

1. Complete the nomination form available on the Alumni of the Year Award page
2. Provide nominator information:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number

3. Provide nominee information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mailing address
- CCCC attendance/graduation timeline

4. Respond to nomination prompts:
- When did the nominee attend/graduate from CCCC?
- Degree/program of study at CCCC
- Status: Graduated from CCCC / Attended but did not graduate / Transferred to another university
- If applicable: What university did your nominee transfer to?
- When has the nominee demonstrated exceptional leadership and/or career accomplishments?
- How were their talents/skills inspired or nurtured at CCCC?
- In what ways does the nominee represent excellence in their chosen field/area of passion?
- How has the nominee demonstrated commitment to community service since CCCC?
- Has the nominee demonstrated continued interest in supporting CCCC? How?
- Has the nominee continued their education in academic settings or through formal career development since CCCC?
