Alton Affiliate Grantmaking Program

The Alton Affiliate Grantmaking Program, managed by the Alton Community Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life for residents in Alton and Oregon County through strategic grantmaking. This program supports 501(c)(3) organizations and other IRS-approved entities that address community needs. Minimum grant requests start at $1,500, with applications accepted on a scheduled basis, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to meet pressing local demands.

The Alton Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for individuals in Alton and Oregon county through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. The Alton Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions are made by the grant committee.
The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on our Board of Directors, as well as dollars raised by the Alton Community Foundation.
Grant proposals are accepted according to an announced timetable, and grant recommendations are made as funds are available.
Minimum grant request is $1,500.

Eligibility

501(c)3 organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts and churches) serving Alton and Oregon county are eligible to apply.
Applicants who serve Alton and Oregon County are encouraged to apply.
