Alabama Sports Officials Foundation Scholarship Fund Guidelines Tribute: The Alabama Sports Officials Foundation created this scholarship, Inc. to recognize and reward Alabama Sports Officials, their children, and grandchildren from all over the State of Alabama. The Alabama Sports Officials Foundation, Inc. was founded by five current and retired Alabama sports officials: David Bell, Greg Brewer, Burkles Davis, Jeff Hilyer, and Robert Lose. Award: The scholarship benefits individuals pursuing an associate, bachelor’s degree or State of Alabama approved workforce training program. This one-time award is for either full-time enrolled students to attend any accredited institution of higher learning located in the State of Alabama. The Community Foundation will project and allocate the assets available for scholarship awards depending on the Fund’s annual income. This scholarship is strictly funded based on available assets. The award can be used for tuition, institutional housing, supplies, books, and fees.The award based on available assets; therefore, recipients are encouraged to apply for other available financial resources.
