Overview: The Agriculture Sector Recovery Program (ASRP) is a strategic initiative aimed at revitalizing the workforce in Thurston County's agricultural sector through recruitment, employee development, wage subsidies, and career pathway promotion.

Geographic Scope: Thurston County, Washington

Eligible Applicants:

Agricultural employers directly engaged in:

- Crop production
- Livestock production
- Shellfish
- Animal slaughter and processing

Business must be located in Thurston County

Must be a licensed Washington State business

Must have been established prior to February 2020

Program Focus:

Recruiting and developing employees

Subsidizing employee wages

Informing the public about available career paths in agriculture

Building and developing talent

Investing in long-term recovery through collaboration with local businesses

Restoring workforce in agricultural sector

Funding Source: U.S. Department of Treasury under the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Award as provided by the American Rescue Plan Act. Grants are administered by Thurston County.
