Overview:
The Wayne HealthCare Foundation partners with Midmark Corporation and Spirit Emergency Medical Services to provide Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to help save lives in the community. An AED can be used in cardiac emergencies to provide life-sustaining help to victims until emergency personnel arrive.

Geographic Scope: Darke County, Ohio and surrounding community

Eligibility:

  • Available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations through an application process
  • Program Details:

  • Over 275 AED units have been placed in the community through 2025

  • Includes AED maintenance program support after warranty expiration
  • Partners:

  • Lead corporate donor: Midmark Corporation

  • Training provider: Spirit Emergency Medical Services (provides CPR and AED training)
