Overview

New Jersey Department of Health The scope of work for the public health system is ever-expanding, and the Department is on the frontlines in leading the response to public health challenges. The Department has three primary branches – Public Health Services, Health Systems, and Integrated Health. All work collaboratively toward improving health by strengthening New Jersey’s health system. Our Mission: Protect the public’s health, promote healthy communities, and continue to improve the quality of health care in New Jersey Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics Training NOFA The funds will be used to plan and execute the delivery of the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) trainings in New Jersey. Grant recipient will develop a collaborative an informed process to offer ALSO trainings to eligible participants while working with appropriate partners throughout the grant cycle. Training evaluation is required to ensure implementation fidelity and training effectiveness. Grant recipient will report out training uptake and completion in specific regions within the state. ALSO training implementation and availability will improve knowledge of procedures and processes in obstetric emergencies for particpating trainees to reduce contributing factors for maternal mortality and morbidity. Award Period: From 9/30/25 Through 9/29/26

Group or Entities Which May Apply For The Grant ProgramInstitution of Higher Education HospitalNon-profit Organization (501(c)3) Qualifications Needed By Applicant To Be Considered For A GrantEligible applicants must have demonstrated knowledge of maternal health needs and acute maternity care hospitals state-wide in New Jersey. Additionally, evidence of experience in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of healthcare quality improvement and training as it relates to equitable access, health and health are disparities and healthcare delivery to underserved and vulnerable populations. Applicants need to have existing partnerships appropriate for the delivery of trainings and be well-positioned to cultivate new partnerships as needed to expand training availability throughout the state. Applicants must have a valid NJ Tax Clearence Certificate and a valid NJ Charities Registration Letter of Compliance (if applicable) submitted with their application.
