PetSmart Charities® and PetSmart Charities® of Canada are nonprofit animal welfare organizations that save the lives of homeless pets. More than 400,000 dogs and cats find homes each year through our adoption program in all PetSmart® stores and our sponsored adoption events. Adoption Prep Grant Adoption Prep grants are designed to support PetSmart Charities Adoption Partners’ efforts to help homeless animals find homes via PetSmart Charities' in-store adoption program. The maximum grant given in the U.S. in this category will be $75,000 and $40,000 in Canada. Funding may support: VaccinationsSpay/NeuterStaffingVolunteer SupportContainment and supplies

Eligibility

Cohort 1: Accelerating In-Store AdoptionsTo be eligible to apply, Adoption Partners must have completed 500 adoptions in a PetSmart store in the U.S. (or 100 in Canada) over the last 12 months, and be in compliance with all PetSmart Charities policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.Preference will be given to groups who are interested in expanding their in-store programs or who are interested in trying new in-store adoption models to increase adoptions.Cohort 2: Capacity BuildingTo be eligible to apply, Adoption Partners must have completed one (1) adoption in a PetSmart store over the last 12 months, and be in compliance with all PetSmart Charities policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.Preference will be given to groups looking to build a consistent in-store adoption program.The maximum grant given in the U.S. in this category will be $75,000, and in Canada the maximum is set at $40,000. PetSmart Charities Adoption Prep grants will not support the purchase of vehicles. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.
