ACF Scholarships Overview

The Alamance Community Foundation manages multiple scholarship funds established by donors to support individuals pursuing higher education. Scholarships recognize achievement, assist with education costs, and help build a future generation of educated individuals and community leaders.

Eligibility

General Requirements:

  • High school graduating seniors (specific to some scholarships)

  • Accepted to accredited two-year or four-year college or university

  • Primary residence in Alamance County (for most scholarships)

  • Good standing at high school
  • Specific Requirements by Scholarship:

  • Alley, Williams, Carmen & King: Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture program students from ABSS, NC School of Science and Mathematics, or NC School of Arts

  • George Heckman: Graham High School graduates with varsity sports participation (preference for football)

  • Steven C. Walker: Alamance County high school golf team members

  • Tommy Spoon: Williams High School seniors with varsity letter

    How to Apply

    ACF Scholarship Application Process

    1. Create Account: Visit the Scholarship Portal and create an account
    2. Eligibility Assessment: Answer preliminary questions to determine which scholarships are a potential match
    3. Complete Applications: Complete applications for all eligible ACF scholarships
    4. Provide Information: Answer questions about yourself and your higher education plans
    5. Submit Supporting Materials:
    - Transcript copies (in some cases)
    - Recommendations (if applicable)
