Background In 2011, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation launched the iFund grants program with focus on three areas: Access to Health Care, Opportunities for Children and Services for Elderly. Funding for the program is available thanks to gifts from donors and by utilizing several Field of Interest Funds. Access to Healthcare The Access to Health Care iFund grant was designed to support organizations that provide basic and preventative health care to those who would not otherwise have access to such services due to economic, social, or geographic reasons. The populations to be served should be uninsured or medically underserved individuals who are not eligible for state and/or federally-funded programs. Eligible programs include: Health care services: Programming that provides primary, diagnostic, or preventative services. This would include medical, dental, mental health, and prescription drug treatments.Early detection services: Programming that provides screening and evaluation services for early detection or prevention of chronic medical conditions.Services for patients with Parkinson’s Disease: Programming that provides therapeutic services for patients with Parkinson’s Disease or severe arthritic conditions.Hospice: Programming that provides hospice or palliative care services to those who would not otherwise have access.

Eligibility

The applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.The applicant organization must be able to provide at least three years of financial statements.Service Area: Oklahoma, Cleveland, and Canadian CountiesPrograms must provide direct health care services in central Oklahoma. Organizations must have a governing board located in central Oklahoma.Projects may be new, continuing, or existing. Previous grantees may reapply for additional funding if the organization has completed its project activities, successfully achieved its goals, and submitted a final report prior to the deadline for Letters of Interest.Organizations may submit a letter of interest or application for no more than one project during a single grant cycle.
