Overview

ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter Construction Education Scholarship

Purpose: To encourage further education and support growth in the construction industry by providing financial support to students pursuing construction-related education.

Geographic Scope: Colorado and Wyoming (high school students must attend a Colorado or Wyoming high school or equivalent)

Focus Areas: Construction-related fields including, but not limited to:

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Masonry

  • Painting

  • Carpentry

  • Architecture

  • Construction-related apprenticeships
  • Award Details:

  • Number of Awards: Four scholarships available each year

  • Award Range: $500 - $2,500 for 2026-2027 school year

  • Award Levels: Scholarships available to students pursuing a Certificate of Completion at vocational/technical/trade schools OR post-secondary education leading to a Bachelor's Degree
  • Eligible Expenses:

  • Tuition

  • Books

  • Room and board

  • Course materials and supplies

  • Equipment expenses or tools required for trade school

  • Proof of payment required to access funds

  • Award monies must be expended within 6 months from award date (unless recipient is participating in an ASCENT program)
  • Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must meet ALL of the following:

  • Enrollment Status: Intend to register at or currently attending an accredited college/university OR post-secondary vocational school

  • Application: Complete the Scholarship Application

  • Academic Records: Provide high school transcript

  • Recommendations: Provide two (2) letters of recommendation (recommenders must include phone numbers for verification; ideally from construction-related background such as teacher, employer, or mentor)

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States of America

  • High School Status: If not yet graduated, must currently attend a Colorado or Wyoming high school or high school equivalent
    • Payment Details

    • Scholarship will be paid directly to the college/university/trade/vocational school
    • Proof of registration from participating educational institution required
    • Payments made toward education, books, room & board, course materials and supplies, or applicable fees/equipment
    • Proof of payment required

      Selection Process

    • Applications reviewed by selection committee comprised of experienced individuals in the construction industry
    • Awards announced approximately one month after application deadline
    • Scholarship winners contacted directly via email
